Akshayakalpa Organic, India’s first certified organic dairy company known for offering organic milk and dairy products, is launching its first organic Greek yogurt in India in two delicious variants, plain and mango.

Akshayakalpa has always delivered on its promise to offer the most trusted source of nutrition to loyal customers, especially young children. This product has been developed over 2 years with a multitude of trials and has been sampled by over 5,000 children in Bengaluru, Chennai and Hyderabad for a “healthier” yogurt.

The line is packed with probiotics that are essential for maintaining good gut health. The mango variant contains real organic mangoes and is sweetened with a hint of organic honey and contains no processed sugar.

For the first time in India, Akshayakalpa is proud to launch the yogurt in a cardboard-based packaging that makes it biodegradable and extremely environmentally friendly. Akshayakalpa would like to thank its partners who have been part of this journey including ABC Fruits, International Flavors and Fragrances India Pvt. Ltd., and Parksons Packaging Ltd.

Akshayakalpa is working on various new products to meet growing consumer needs, including whey drinks, low-fat curd, high-protein milk, etc. all of which are in various stages of development.

Shashi Kumar, co-founder and CEO said, “We have been in the market for 12 years now and have earned the trust of over 60,000 customers by providing them with the most reliable and highest quality organic milk in India. We have been proud to extend the same philosophy while creating Greek yogurts that are not only absolutely healthy but also very tasty. We have made tremendous efforts over the past 2 years to work with the entire ecosystem of suppliers to ensure full compliance with organic standards. We have proudly introduced this in paper-based packaging, a first in India, making it a highly biodegradable packaging option. Our goal is to chart a new wave of healthy and clean eating habits in adults and children.

Rajesh Babu, COO adds “Our consumer wanted something that was ready to eat but really nutritious, so we had to rethink and deconstruct yogurts. We removed all the unwanted elements like preservatives, stabilizers, excessive added sugars, etc. . We’ve brought in real mangoes, honey and, of course, our famous organic milk to create a product kids love and parents can trust. It’s also a habit-changing attempt with children to ensure they get used to the more subtle sweetness of honey and understand how sustainable packaging works.

Today, Akshayakalpa Organic works with over 750 farming families and reaches over 60,000 consumers every day with its organic milk and dairy product offering available in Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Chennai through its drop-shipping platform, over 2,000 retail outlets and all major e-commerce/quick trade platforms.
