Association for the Development of Hop Agronomy (ADHA)

YAKIMA, Washington, October 29, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) – John I. Haas, Inc. (HAAS), one of the world’s leading suppliers of hops and hop products, and the Association for the Development of Agronomy Hops (ADHA), a partnership of three Washington state family farms – Roy Farms, Green Acre Farms and Wyckoff Farms – today announced it has entered into a strategic partnership.

Effective immediately, the partnership grants HAAS the exclusive rights to sell, market and distribute the current varieties of aromatic hops, Azacca® ADHA 483 cv and Adeena® ADHA 1940 hp, as well as for future ADHA aromatic varieties in development. HAAS ‘global distribution reach will increase exposure of ADHA’s aromatic hops to brewers of all sizes and in all geographic locations.

“On behalf of ADHA, I would like to express our enthusiasm for working with HAAS on this strategic initiative, an initiative that will increase awareness and demand for our exclusive aromatic varieties in the United States and around the world,” said Mike Roy, CEO, Fermes Roy. “With its extensive, proven global sales and marketing network, a relentless focus on innovation and customer satisfaction, and an unwavering passion for hops, HAAS ticked all the boxes for us. We could not be happier that the responsibility for the marketing and distribution of our exclusive aromatic hops is in their capable hands.

Alex Barth, CEO of John I. Haas, added: “Our business is built on relationships and we are very familiar with the family farms that make up ADHA. For this reason, we are also very familiar with the very successful work they are doing in breeding new and exclusive aromatic hop varieties with the potential to transform the global brewing industry. We enthusiastically welcome the opportunity to become ADHA’s exclusive sales and distribution arm for these incredible hops.

“The benefits here for both companies are very clear,” Barth continued. “We secure exclusive distribution rights to highly coveted proprietary aromatic hops – and those under development – while ADHA obtains the global market access and execution that only HAAS and its distribution partners provide. “
