(MENAFN – Mid-East.Info D) ubai, United Arab Emirates: The 2021 Middle East Organic and Natural Products Expo organized under the patronage of the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment has announced its first steering committee, composed of distinguished leaders and diverse companies who have been pioneers in implementing sustainability in all categories of consumers in the region.
Shinu Pillai, Director of Exhibitions, said, “Considering the increased market demand for organic products and the business challenges that importers face in the region, it makes sense to have key industry people to help. advise on strategies that will stimulate the organic sector. We are delighted to have some of the greatest minds in the business on board. “
The committee was formed to address best practices and the need for education towards the trade of organic, natural, organic and eco-friendly products. The committee will meet quarterly to discuss the development of the sector with a focus on key consumer categories – Food and Drink, Beauty, Health and Environment.
New member Miguel Angel Povedano, Commercial Director of Majid Al Futtaim Retail, will add retail expertise to the committee.
