Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said on Saturday that efforts over the years to promote organic farming in the state have yielded good results, as organic produce worth Rs 2,500 crore has been produced. exported from the state in 2020-2021.

In his New Years message from Shirdi in Maharashtra to the people of Madhya Pradesh, the CM said: “I and the farmers of Madhya Pradesh are determined to make every possible effort together to implement the resolutions taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the welfare of Farmers. ‘

He said: “I express my sincere gratitude to the Prime Minister for transferring 20,000 crore rupees online to 11.37 crore from farmers nationwide in the form of the 10th installment on the first day of the new year today in under Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi’s program for the economic empowerment of farmers.

CM said every effort has been made to promote organic farming in Madhya Pradesh in recent years under the leadership of illustrious Prime Minister Modi. Organic farming was practiced on an area of ​​16 lakh hectares in the state and the export of organic products amounted to over 2,500 crore rupees in 2020-21.

Along with this, the CM said, continuous work was being done for the advancement of farmers. Under the Mukhyamantri Kisan-Kalyan Yojna, Samman Nidhi of Rs 4,000 per annum in two installments, a zero percent interest rate loan and assistance in purchasing agricultural machinery were provided to farmers.

He said that, under the leadership of the Prime Minister, the planting, production and use of solar energy is encouraged under Ankur Abhiyan for environmental protection in Madhya Pradesh.

He said the prime minister’s mantra “Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao” had given new energy to the country. “Our daughters are reaching the top in all areas. The credit goes to Prime Minister Modi. There are many crucial projects underway in Madhya Pradesh for girls, including Ladli Laxmi. ‘
