The Made in Nevada market features products from local suppliers

SPARKS, Nevada (KOLO) – Made in Nevada for the Nevadans.

On Saturday at Flag Store Sign and Banner, more than a dozen local vendors came to sell their products for the holidays.

“It’s a great way for sellers who don’t have a specific storefront to have a place they can walk in, get (customers) to know them, and taste what they have to offer,” Eric said. Smith, who is the store’s Vice President Flag.

There was plenty for sale during the Flag Store’s 13th year showcasing products made in Nevada. From olives and jams to books and jewelry.

Each salesperson sold what they wanted and took in all the profits without having to rent space in the store.

Hundreds of people attended the six-hour event.

“We are so lucky to be a part of the Nevada community that we have been a part of for 36 years. It really means a lot. It’s great to see the public supporting these local businesses, ”said Smith.

Blind Dog Coffee of Gardnerville, Nevada was just a local business that had space on Saturday. Nicole Gesselman and Yuliya Berry took the opportunity to answer questions from customers regarding their blends, for example describing the benefits of their organic options.

“Being part of the community – seeing people face to face is very important to us,” said Berry. “To engage with people is great. It’s huge.”

If you missed the Saturday storefront, the Flag Store at 155 Glendale Avenue Suite 9 sells Made in Nevada merchandise year round.

The store is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.
