Tipico launches online casino in New Jersey and continues expansion in the United States

New Jersey online casino offers increased this week as Tipico joined the mix. The global bookie, which offers mobile sports betting in New Jersey and Colorado, is now giving Garden State consumers another mobile casino option, joining dozens more.

Tipico’s online casino library currently features 70 games, including 55 slots and 14 card and table games. The company plans to bring hundreds of games to the platform, many of which are expected to roll out in the coming months.

“With a portfolio of classic and popular games, the Tipico iGaming platform is a natural complement to our bookmaker”, Adrian Vella, CEO of Tipico US, said in a statement. “We are confident that this seamless, multi-state extension of single sign-on to our product suite will enhance our ability to acquire high-quality players in New Jersey and beyond, and retain them for the long term as we frequently deploy new features. . “

Ocean Casino Resort has partnered with Tipico to provide the operator with a New Jersey license. Ocean Casino Resort also has its own online casino, Ocean Casino, and provides licensing rights to Parx Online Casino.

Tipico expands on the American market

Expansion into the United States has been a priority in recent months for Tipico, which is the market leader in Germany and headquartered in Malta.

The company formed a partnership with Caesars Entertainment in September that gives it access to the launch of online sports betting in Indiana and Iowa. The agreement with Caesars also includes “certain rights to access the iGaming market, pending legislative approval for online casino operations in each state.”

This summer, Tipico partnered with Colorado Governor Jared Polis to announce the creation of a Tipico Technology Hub to be headquartered in Denver. Tipico hopes to create more than 400 jobs on site for the next eight years.

In July, Tipico also became the exclusive iGaming and sportsbook provider for Gannett, owner of USA TODAY.

Adding online casino offers, which Tipico did in New Jersey this week, is one of its many strategies to spread to the United States.

“With an increasing number of US states opening or regulating the legal activity of online casinos – generating an average of $ 100 million in gross gaming revenue each month and state – this addition to our product line will be a key driver. of Tipico’s growth in North America. in 2022, ”said Vella.

What’s next for Tipico in the US

Tipico hopes to deliver the online casino product to other states in 2022. Connecticut, Delaware, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia all currently allow some form of legal iGaming. However, access in some jurisdictions is currently not possible. DraftKings and FanDuel hold the advantage in Connecticut through partnerships with the state’s two tribes, which have a market duopoly.

Michigan, which has the largest population of states among the legal online casino states, is a more likely candidate for Tipico, if it finds a market access dance partner.

Tipico plans to launch its mobile bookie in Iowa by the end of 2021 and in Indiana during the first months of 2022. It also plans to share additional state market access agreements before the end. from 2021.
